The Links
Sick games
- ✧ Elden Ring Reforged
- This has been a fantastic way to re-experience base game with a fresh twist. I'm very much enjoying it, looking forward to seeing how they decide to rebalance the DLC.
- ✧ Haunted Cities Volume 2 by Kitty Horrorshow
- I love Kitty Horrorshow's library but I've always especially loved a game in this collection called Monastery.
- ✧ Ib
- Everyone's favorite RPG Maker horror.
- ✧ Symphony of Seven Souls by katanalevy
- A bautiful short game about assembling a haunting band.
Neat webbed sites
- ✧
- Perfect little boy??
- ✧
- Very helpful in deciding what I wanted to do with this website, both technically and on a philosophical level.
- ✧ neal.fun
- It's fun.
- ✧
- Host of this very website!
A lovely video
- ✧ Jacob Geller
- My favorite YouTube man. Even though he talks about video games, and that's what I first went to him for, I actually find I get more out of his other videos, like the one on capital punishment. He inspires me to be more thoughtful about the world around me.
My invaluable tools
- ✧ Filen
- Encrypted cloud storage. I keep a copy of my website on it and sync that to a folder on my computer.
- ✧ Sublime Text
- I do all my coding in this!! All of it!!!! It makes everything I want to do so easy. I love it.
I have spent years now feeling strange about the silent interaction of social media. Perhaps as a result of being chronically low follower, I struggle to understand the point of displaying someone else's words or images on my profile, as though making claim to them and their values for myself without undertaking the labor of forming my own words and imagery.
The tradition of links pages of personal websites fascinates me. It's more intentful, taking more work than a quick click, requiring you to use your own words (or actively select someone else's) to represent it. Sometimes I find a lot more fulfillment in breaking an automatic act down into its manual parts.
